Description:

The Muppets Movie Adventures is an adventure game based on Disney's characters created by Jim Henson. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo, Animal and more of the Muppets will be transformed in Hollywood stars as and they play their roles in different iconic movie genres.

The game will explore genres ranging from sci-fi, epic fantasy or pirates adventures to spaghetti western. Every level offers unique mechanics and challenges beyond the main adventure, making the players use the Playstation Vita special features such as the touchscreen or gyroscope to solve puzzles and complete missions.

It also features five playable characters, each one with its own special skills, weapons and stats. Miss Piggy is a barbaric warrior armed with a huge wooden club while Kermit is a space pilot expert in the use of his bubble gun.

Zany humor is one of the most characteristic points of the Muppets shows and films, and The Muppets Movie Adventures is a blend of laughs, chaos and adventure that all players can enjoy no matter their age.

My role:

I designed and created gameplay and mechanics in collaboration with the design team. Beginning from game concept to its evolution and application to the final product.

The idea was to get a game well balanced between various genres (adventure, platformer, action, puzzle) that surprises players and keeps them playing with new challenges and situations.

I was in charge of designing several levels, covering game flow, setting, plot, objectives, path, items, enemies, and puzzles. Based on these designs, I make them real working in collaboration with artists and programmers. It includes prototyping, logic, level building, decoration, collisions, events, visibility, cameras, matinees and traps.

I also designed and implemented the most part of enemies in the game. From regular enemies with diverse behaviors to the bosses of the levels I designed, including their special mechanics.
